This afghan is based on the pattern by Lion Brand Yarns called "Summer Stripes Afghan." It's really more of a throw size than an afghan size.
Because I wanted beach colors, I used Vanna's Colors yarn instead of Vanna's Choice, which means I had to change the needle size and the number of stitches.
The colors I used are Sandstorm, Blue Lagoon, Marina, and Deep Blue Sea. I plan to put this in my Etsy store, which I haven't opened yet because I want to finish two more projects first.
This one is called "Bright Stripes Throw" from Red Heart Yarn. I went with the pattern exactly for this one. I made one for my friend's ten-year-old daughter and one for my oldest niece, who lives in cold Ohio. I would not have thought to put these colors together, but the throw really is very pretty.
